Beginning Sewing

Learn the basics of sewing.  We will discuss supplies, thread, needles, fabric, and patterns. You'll learn how to read, set, and cut out a pattern, and become acquainted with the sewing machine parts and how to use it. Your project will be a simple pillow for the home (pattern will be provided). We'll touch on the joys of a serger and what it does to finish edges. Sewing machines will be provided, or you can bring your own with user’s manual (must be in good operating condition).
