Pharmacy Technician Course   

What is the Pharmacy Technician course?
A 12 week curriculum of classroom instruction for individuals interested in a career as a Pharmacy Technician. This course will give you a solid foundation in the skills necessary for employment as a pharmacy technician and will prepare you for the PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) exam.

The 12 week Pharmacy Technician coursework includes:

  • Origin and history of pharmacy
  • Calculating doses
  • Drug regulation and controls
  • Labeling prescriptions
  • Routes and formulations
  • Preparing IVs
  • Transcribing of Physician's orders
  • Drug distribution systems
  • Correct medication packaging
  • Top 200 drug names Brand/Generic

FREE information sessions held on
Monday, February 10, 2020 – 6 pm
Saturday, February 22, 2020 - 10 am

Information sessions held at Hickory Hall, ICC Peoria Campus located at 5407 N. University, Peoria. No pre-registration is required.

Classes are also held at Hickory Hall.
