FAA UAS Certification Prep  

Effective August, 2016, remote pilots of small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) weighing less than 55 pounds are required to pass a written FAA exam.

Our exam prep workshop reviews topics covered in the exam:

  • Airspace Classification, Operating Requirements, and Flight Restrictions
  • Aviation Weather Sources
  • Effects of Weather on Small Unmanned Aircraft Performance
  • Small Unmanned Aircraft Loading
  • Emergency Procedures
  • Crew Resource Management
  • Radio Communication Procedures
  • Determining the Performance of Small Unmanned Aircraft
  • Physiological Factors (Including Drugs and Alcohol) Affecting Pilot Performance
  • Aeronautical Decision-Making and Judgment
  • Airport Operations
  • Maintenance and Preflight Inspection Procedures

The FAA exam fee of $150 is not included in course price.
