Challenger Learning Center at Heartland Community College NEW!

Not many people can say they have discovered a comet or traveled to Mars and been back to Earth in time for lunch. Join us for a unique and exciting hands-on trip at the Challenger Learning Center. Our trip will take us on a Rendezvous with a Comet. You will be part of the Space Station crew and work with mission control to rendezvous with Comet Encke. You must determine a rendezvous point with the comet, conduct science experiments and launch a probe into the comet’s tail before the launch window closes.

Mars Science Academy – Plan a mission to Mars. Conduct hands-on science experiments that prepare your crew to land on Mars. Investigate different Martian landing sites and pick the best one for your crew. Learn how NASA is preparing to send humans to Mars.
