Protecting Our Animals Tour   

Want to learn how you can help abandoned, neglected, or abused animals in our own community? Director Becky Spencer of Peoria County's Animal Protection Services will describe volunteer opportunities, explain animal control laws, and discuss such issues as overpopulation and inhumane care. Take a guided tour of the animal shelter and meet four-legged friends available for adoption or currently receiving care, including dogs, cats, and small or unusual animals. Most importantly, learn how you can help ensure all animals get the loving care they deserve.
