EP!C Certificate Program   

All classes are taught by EP!C Instructors. The courses are for individuals aged 16 and older. Classes are designed to promote capabilities and empower students to understand their way of learning. At the end of the course, students will receive a certificate of course completion from EP!C.
 
  • EP!C Certificate Program - Agriculture

    Students will gain knowledge on basic crop growing and caring for animals, farming rules, safety, maintenance, planting/germination, harvesting, and animal health. The last two weeks of class will include four sessions of individually scheduled hands-on experience.

    Students will explore the essential skills needed to succeed in the customer service field, examine the importance of effective communication and body language during the customer experience situation, maintain professional customer relationships and develop customer service problem-solving skills. Skills will be applied through role-playing, scenarios, virtual field trips, and mock customer service scenarios. The last two weeks of class will include four sessions of individually scheduled hands-on experience.

    This course provides students with the knowledge and hands-on training needed to apply for entry-level maintenance and janitorial jobs. Students will learn and have practice with the use of common custodial tools, specific cleaning processes, and safety protocols for various building areas. The last two weeks of class will include four sessions of individually scheduled hands-on experience.

    This class helps the student understand advocating for oneself, self-reflecting on own desires and goals, communicating needs, individual rights, building self-confidence, and self-reflection of individual strengths. Advocacy is taught through conversations, group work, individualized learning, and mock scenarios.

Students will learn organizational skills, planning, time management, how to break down tasks, and problem-solving abilities through communication. Students are inspired to recognize emotions that may keep them from accomplishing their goals through self-reflection exercises and projects while building self-confidence. By empowering students to learn what tools work for them, they will gain confidence in completing life’s tasks more independently and to their capabilities.
