In this class we will discuss cannabis, cannabinoids, and terpenes and the potential benefits they offer. We will discuss dosing using different forms of cannabis and how to avoid euphoria when undesired. The class will offer valuable information on how to start either medically or recreationally with many opportunity to have you questions and concerns addressed. Upon completion of this class you will feel confident when entering a dispensary to start your cannabis journey.
Objectives include: Basic understanding of the endocannabinoid system, cannabinoids and terpenes. Basic understanding of dosing with different cannabis products. Greater understanding of the consumers responsibilities in regards to consumption, storage and transportation of Cannabis in Illinois. Understanding of the Illinois Medical Cannabis Program and how to become a qualified patient.
Anita has played a significant role in educating the community on the benefits of cannabis medicine. She works with Trinity Compassionate Care Centers as the only Cannabis Facility Nurse in the dispensary space since 2016. She has been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years’ and is a 3-time cancer survivor.
Stephanie has worked as a certified clinical research coordinator in Interventional Radiology for 14 years+ before losing her eye and almost her life to gun violence in 2017. She became a medical cannabis patient for her PTSD and began working at Trinity Compassionate Care Centers in 2019 in compliance and inventory.
